| ADESCKA is a young organization that was founded in March 2003 in order to reduce poverty in rural areas. The organization is working to improve economic, social and cultural development of the region by sponsoring local projects. ADESCKA targets poor rural children and women because many of them are living on less than $1 a day. The organization is lead by a community that makes decisions on a consensus basis. ADESCKA has worked on village committee organizations and presently wants to work on various projects including building schools, medical centers, and improving water and sanitation. |
