EXPANDING OUR SUPPORT NETWORK

A new non-profit fundraising group has joined the list of organizations that offers financial support to Jagriti International.

"Dining for Women," based in Greenville, South Carolina, promotes and aids the physical, emotional, and economic well being of women and children worldwide, especially those living in countries with limited support systems. The group acts on their members' shared concerns and commitment by supporting organizations such as Jagriti, who share their mission.

The group raises money in a unique and creative manner, while simultaneously creating an important and enjoyable community of women: each month the group has a potluck dinner at one of the member's homes -- saving each the cost of dinner at a restaurant. The women approximate their dining savings at $30 apiece; the savings are pooled and donated to a different organization each month.

Since founded in January 2003, "Dining for Women" has donated its monthly group contribution to such non-profit organizations as Women for Women International, Childreach, and the American Leprosy Mission.

Whenever possible, a guest speaker addresses the group at the monthly event. On October 28, Jagriti President Dr. Michèle Andina spoke to the group; that event's $1000 donation went to Jagriti International.

If you'd like to start a local chapter of "Dining for Women" - and expand your own community while providing critical financial assistance to Jagriti International and other similar non-profit organizations, contact Marsha Wallace at marsha462@charter.net or Jagriti International at info@jagriti-international.org.
