In accordance with its policy of helping grassroots women achieve equality and sustainable development within their own countries, Jagriti International awards a "Gratitude Grant" of up to $2,000.00 to organizations hosting Bridging Worlds volunteers.  In 2002 grants were made to two groups in Nepal. Women Awareness Center Nepal (WACN - Nari Chetna Kendra) used their grant to purchase a new computer with internet modem for their office. Women Acting Together for Change (WATCH) used their grant to provide scholarship money for educating girl children, especially the children of bonded laborers. Again, we thank both groups for hosting volunteers and congratulate them for their tremendous support of women's equality and empowerment.
