has been living in Santa Barbara for the past four
years. She is currently a senior at the University
of California, Santa Barbara, and will be graduating
this year with a B.A. in Global and International
Relations. Jaime's interests lie in the socio-anthropological

do her own research in this field as a professor.
Jaime enjoys running, rowing, and of course working
for the inspiring Jagriti International!
Rachel Lorenzo
Rachel was born in Mexico City, Mexico and came to
the United States at the age of eight. Currently, she
is a student at the University of California, Santa
Barbara double majoring in Business Economics (with
accounting emphasis) and Law and Society. She has
recently joined Jagriti International to help reach
out to women's organizations in Mexico. She feels
great pride in being part of this project because
she is able to help in the empowering of her Mexican
sisters and at the same time lending strength to the worldwide
struggle for female equality. Upon graduating this
year, Rachel hopes to go back to the Los Angeles area
and work as a community advocate focusing on immigrant
issues affecting Latinos. Furthermore, she hopes to
continue in the great, wonderful, and inspiring experience
of empowering women throughout the world.
